Unique wedding venue with acommodation opens near Chichester, West Sussex
May 12, 2009Farbridge is a new and unique wedding venue, created from a collection of original Sussex flint barns which have been expertly restored and renovated specifically to operate as the perfect venue for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions.
With its environmentally friendly woodchip-burning biomass boiler, state-of-the-art music system, built-in dance floor with air-conditioning, ten ensuite bedrooms, large car park and convenient location, Farbridge has been designed with an attention to detail which won the development a Sussex Heritage Trust Award last year.
The Lavant Valley barn, whilst retaining all its original features, provides a contemporary space (5,500 sq ft) suitable for receptions seating up to 150 people and is connected to The Meadow Barn which is ideally laid out for civil ceremonies and dancing.
Farbridge is unique in offering exclusive use of the venue and the accommodation to the hirer, unlike most hotel venues where other guests will be wandering around potentially spoiling your day.
Farbridge is a venue for all seasons, having a sheltered courtyard garden where guests can spill out from the barns in fine weather and enjoy the picturesque river Lavant running through the valley in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In colder weather the barns are heated by the carbon-neutral underfloor heating system.
